Spotting a Predatory Energy Vampire

This narcissist will hoodwink you easily, so an empath must have their wits about them in order to spot one. Here are some common characteristics.

They are shapeshifters, capable of morphing into whatever you need and want them to be. They adopt your hobbies, cultivate your friends, and fulfill whatever fantasy desire you reveal to them.

During the love bombing or honeymoon stage, they will smother you with love and attention, setting the hook expertly.

They use their frighteningly accurate psychic ability to feel where your weaknesses are and what your desires are; then they exploit the weaknesses and fulfill the desires.

Once the hook is set, they will begin to systematically drain you. They suddenly need money, time, and attention and always have a sob story about why nothing is ever their fault.

They usually have a jealous, possessive side and will try to isolate you from your friends and family.

If you fight against this hook, they become manipulative and even abusive. They seem like two people, one good and one evil. You get the good side when you comply with their wishes and the evil side when you don’t. They are masters of the carrot and the stick.

They are fundamentally empty and have no way to fill themselves without draining you. At any attempt to break free, they will level up the charm, and if that doesn’t work, they’ll level up the abuse.

They are unrepentant and can’t or won’t change; they see themselves as perfect and you as the problem. Cut them loose as soon as you can.
